The UTAS Cricket Club are a Premier Cricket Club based in Sandy Bay, Tasmania and have a rich history since establishment in 1898 and entry into the TCA competition in the 1960's. In 2020/21 we had over 350 participants.


Our vision is to be the Club of Choice in Tasmania with quality coaches, managers and facilities, and our mission is to provide an environment that inspires the love of cricket and develops players, coaches and managers to represent Tasmania.


The UTAS Cricket Infrastructure and Equipment Fund has been established to allow tax-deductible donations to be received by the club, that is set aside to be used for capital projects and purchases to assist us to deliver on our vision and mission.


2024/25 proposed projects include:

  • Development of a new 6m x 3m storage shed at University Oval
  • Purchase of new large covers, EziCover slog and covers trolley for University Oval Centre Wicket


2023/24 projects included:

  • Purchase of a cover and EziCover slog for outdoor turf training facility
  • Purchase of BOLA professional bowling machine


2022/23 projects included:

  • Major upgrade of outdoor training facility


2021/22 projects included:

  • Purchase of FlicX pitch
  • Purchase of oven


2020/21 Projects included:

  • Purchase of Live Video Stream equipment (FrogBox)
  • Purchase of cricket wicket covers (1x hessian and 1x single cover)
  • Purchase of display fridge
  • Purchase of speaker system


Examples of future projects include:

  • Infrastructure
  • Development of junior cricket grounds (e.g. pitches, amenities)
  • Development of storage shed
  • Equipment
  • Training - video analysis hardware & software
  • Match - cover trolleys
  • Clubroom - refrigerators, cookware, large furniture


Any donations towards the UTAS Cricket Infrastructure and Equipment Fund will be greatly appreciated, and our members and local community will reap the benefits of your investment for many years to come.
