There is a huge gap in females playing sport in their teenage years compared to their male counterparts and this in increased in the Aboriginal community. ABA requires a platform to reach out to the Aboriginal community and create positive experiences, apply learners and show the importance of education and basketball. By ABA students conducting clinics to their Aboriginal peers; this will increase uptake and long-term participation in future years. These clinics will give our current ABA students opportunities to apply want they have learnt over the course year, build confidence and pride, as well as strong young Aboriginal leaders.
