ABOUT Abbey Willcox
Hi! I’m Abbey. I'm originally from the Central Coast of NSW and now based in Brisbane. I transitioned from gymnastics to freestyle skiing in 2016, and over the past 7 years, I've proudly competed on the World Cup circuit, earning 4 World Cup medals and currently holding a world ranking of 5th overall.
After missing out on the last Winter Olympics due to injury, it's been a tough road back — physically, mentally, and financially. But I’ve kept pushing. Balancing full-time work with a full-time training schedule hasn't been easy, and despite the demands, I’ve managed to stay at the top of my game, inching closer to my Olympic dream.
Every bit of support helps cover the costs of training, travel, equipment, and competition — expenses that add up quickly. I’m incredibly grateful for any help as I fight for a spot on the Australian team for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games this February.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
