A team of nine from UTS Judo Club has been selected to travel to Perth to compete at the 2026 UniSport Nationals, representing the University of Technology Sydney against the best university judo programs in Australia. This competition is more than an opportunity to represent their university. For most of our team, judo began during their undergraduate degree, and through years of consistent training they have developed into competitive athletes. The UniSport Nationals gives these athletes the rare opportunity to test their skills against athletes across the country. Established in 2016, UTS Judo Club has grown into one of Sydney's most active university judo programs. Our members range from first-time judoka to state, national, and international level competitors, and our strongest earn selection for UniSport Nationals. An athlete's selection is only the first step. Getting our team of nine to Perth, housed, fed, and ready to compete on 27 September depends on funding the club doesn't currently have. Every dollar goes directly to team costs :· Flights from Sydney to Perth· Accommodation for 2 nights· Team transport· Entry fees Our target covers a portion of each athlete's total cost to ensure that the event remains affordable for everyone selected to participate. Money raised beyond the target amount will further reduce the out-of-pocket costs incurred by each athlete. Every dollar helps the team and we appreciate even the smallest contribution of $20 or $50. Thank you for backing our athletes. Every contribution, large or small, helps put a UTS judoka on the mat in Perth.
