I feel incredibly honoured and grateful to once again been selected to represent Australia in the 2026 South Korean Poomsae World Championships.

I started Taekwondo when I was 7 years old, and it has become a lifelong journey. Over the years, I have learnt so much through this sport, not only about Taekwondo itself, but also about who I am as a person. It has grown into something I could never sum up in just one sentence, but rather something I could talk about endlessly. Now, Taekwondo is a part of me, and something that completes me.

I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to train with such amazing coaches in such an uplifting and supporting environment however training to become a representative of Australia does not just take a relentless amount of training and sacrifice, it takes an insane amount of money. I am forever thankful for my parents who are willing to support and fund my Taekwondo journey; however, the costs add up. Competing at the World Championships can cost close to $10,000, (including, flights, accommodation, competition fees and more) and because Poomsae is not yet widely recognised in Australia, financial support and funding opportunities are extremely limited. Despite the costs of World championships being so high, we also must self-fund training, physio appointments, equipment, and flights overseas to other competitions and international events. Unfortunately, this has often resulted in me missing opportunities and competitions that I would have otherwise attended if these financial barriers had not existed.

As a result, I am seeking support that would help my parents fund my journey and if you’re in a position to help, I would truly appreciate any donations which would fund my dream. If you’re unable to donate, your support still means the world to me, whether that is sharing this post to your story or simply cheering me on from the sidelines.

Thank you for all the support :)
