My name is Alannah Nguyen, and I’m so proud to share that I have been selected to represent Australia in the U17 Girls National Emerging Olympic Flag Football Team, competing at the World Championships in Los Angeles in June 2025. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Since I was very young, I have dedicated myself to my sport — training hard, staying committed, and always striving to be the best teammate and athlete I can be. Along the way, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about skill; it’s also about kindness, teamwork, and lifting others up.

In June, I’ll be heading to Los Angeles alongside 11 amazing teammates to compete against the strongest Flag Football nations in the world, including the USA, Japan, and Mexico. I’ll also have the incredible opportunity to meet and train with the Australian Senior Olympic Squads and their coaches while we’re on tour in LA. This opportunity brings me one step closer to my dream of representing Australia at the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games.

But dreams like this aren't possible without the support of an amazing community.
