My name is Alex Ferlazzo, and I’m a proud athlete from Townsville, North Queensland, training for my fifth Winter Olympics campaign. Growing up in a place where winter sports are practically unheard of, pursuing luge has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My journey has always been about pushing boundaries and proving that big dreams can come from unexpected places.

Competing at this level has been a massive 15-year journey, filled with dedication, sacrifice, and countless hours of training. The funds raised through this fundraiser will support the 4 years of intense preparation leading up to the Games. This includes travel expenses, accommodation, sliding equipment, gym access, food, and recovery costs. With this support, I can be fully equipped and ready to perform at my absolute best.

I want to show others that even if you come from a warm, tropical place like Townsville, you can still dream of winter sports and make it happen. My hope is to inspire others to think outside the box and chase their own dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem.
