ABOUT Alison Heinrich
I'm going all in for LA28 and I'm asking for your support to get me there.
My Journey:
I've been competing in Pistol Shooting since I was 16, a sport I was introduced to by my Dad. I went to my first Junior World Cup a few years later, and have worked hard, training alongside work and completing university. Over the years, this journey has taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work both on and off the range.
I ranked second in the AUS selections for Paris 2024, and as there was only one quota place for my event, wasn't able to fulfil my Olympic dream (this time).
In 2025, I gained my first international ranking, became one half of the first Father/Daughter duo to each win a National Title at the same National Championships, and broke multiple state records. I also competed at my first World Championships, achieving an international personal best.
Why your support matters:
I work part time in Human Resources, and have a second casual job. I have great employers who allow some flexibility for my travel and training, but a limited amount of leave, meaning some of my travel will be unpaid.
This year will include significant costs in interstate travel, training camps, ammunition for competition and training, as well as entry fees and other supporting services such as fitness coaching and physio. Most of my equipment is over 10 years old, and while still competitive internationally, require a degree of upkeep & will eventually need replacement.
Based on my personal investment into the sport over the last several years, I estimate my costs for 2026 to be somewhere between $15 000 - $20 000.
I love my sport, the community, and the discipline it demands, thank you for helping make this journey possible.
