    ABOUT Allegra Beretov

    Corrimal, NSW

Cycling  has always been a big part of my life. It is a way for me to spend time with my family and friends while staying active, and now it has become something much more important to me. Through cycling, I have learned how to be disciplined and resilient and it has motivated me to push my limits and compete at a higher level.

In 2025 I was selected to represent NSW at the Australian Junior Track National Championships after a strong performance at states where I podiumed in all nine races and came home with 6 state titles. At Nationals In Brisbane my main goal was to do my best against the strongest u15 girls in the country and I did. I finished top 10 in every race and podiumed in 2.

Also in 2025, I competed in the NSW/ACT junior road series. After the first two rounds of the series I was in second place. After rounds 3 and 4 I had gained enough points to win the series. I then performed well at the NSW road state championships and was selected for the NSW team to go and compete at nationals. I finished 10th in the Time Trial, 5th in the Road race and won the Criterium.

Cycling can be an expensive sport. There is a lot of travel involved and good quality equipment that needs maintenance is required. I am raising funds to help subsidise these costs which will allow me to continue working towards my goals.

I love this sport because of the community, the training and the racing. I have wonderful, supportive people around me. My family always encourages me to have fun and do my best. I have really great coaches who help me with strctured training and advice that helps me improve and perform at my best. I always look forward to training because I love pushing myself to be the best that I can be. I have also made amazing friendships with everyone in the community. Everyone is super supportive and kind no matter what is happening around you. The racing is great too. It's fun, super competitive and you can really get in the zone.

It is my dream to pursue a career in professional cycling and to represent Austrlia at the Olympics. Brisbance 2032 is one of my major goals. In order to fulfill these dreams I need to make sure that everytime I race I am at my peak performance and to do so I need to make sure that I am eating, drinking and sleeping well so that I can get the most out of my training.
