ABOUT Ally Hickman
Ally Hickman is a 16 year old, elite Australian snowboarder specialising in Slopestyle and Big Air.
She is raising funds to support her journey to the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, where she has been selected to represent Australia in both events, to be held in Livigno.
Ally first stepped on a snowboard at just five years old, riding with her family and developing a love for the sport from a very young age. In 2020, her family moved to Whistler, Canada for a 'gap year' which turned into an extended 3-year COVID move, where Ally trained with the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club and further developed her skills and passion for the sport.
At 13, Ally competed at her first Junior World Championships, where she claimed a bronze medal. The following year, at just 14, she represented Australia at the Youth Olympic Games, making finals in both Slopestyle and Big Air. At 15, Ally made her debut on the World Cup circuit and immediately made an impact, finishing 10th in her first World Cup event.
The current season has marked a major breakthrough. Ally has made finals in 3 of 5 World Cup events and secured her first World Cup podium with a bronze medal at the VISA Big Air in Steamboat Springs, where she was also awarded the Best Trick prize. Ally placed 4th overall for the Big Air Crystal Globe for 2026, which was beyond her wildest dreams. These results have firmly established her as one of Australia’s leading snowboarders and a rising force on the international stage.
Competing at the highest level of snowboarding requires extensive international travel, elite coaching, training camps, specialised equipment, and competition expenses — much of which is self-funded. Funds raised through this campaign will directly support Ally’s preparation, training, and competition schedule as she works toward the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Ally is incredibly proud to represent Australia on the world stage and sincerely appreciates the support of those who help make this Olympic dream possible.
