ABOUT Altona Lacrosse Club
Support the Heart of Lacrosse – Altona Lacrosse Club Needs You!
Located in the heartland of lacrosse in Melbourne, Victoria, the Altona Lacrosse Club is proud to call the PJ Lynch Reserve at Paisley Park home — the largest lacrosse-dedicated facility in all of Australia. We are more than just a club. We are a community, a family, and a vital part of lacrosse’s past, present, and future in this country.
Because Altona operates year-round, unlike many other clubs that run only six months of the year, we maintain full usage of our facility 12 months a year. That means we pay twice the Council fees of seasonal clubs. It’s a significant financial challenge — but one we accept proudly because it means more time on the field, more opportunities for our players, and a stronger local lacrosse presence.
What keeps us going isn’t just the love of the game — it’s our volunteers, who work tirelessly to keep the club running, and to raise the funds needed so our players don't have to pay more than those at other clubs. But to keep Altona thriving, we need everyone in our lacrosse family to play their part.
How You Can Help
We’re calling on players, families, alumni, and supporters to support us by:
- Paying fees on time – every dollar makes a difference
- Donating or sponsoring the club, no matter how big or small
- Sharing our story to help us grow our support base
Your contribution helps us keep lacrosse affordable, accessible, and thriving in the west. It ensures that Altona Lacrosse Club remains a powerhouse in Australian lacrosse – not just today, but for generations to come.
