    ABOUT Amaia Heath

    Rosebud, VIC

My name is Amaia Heath and I’m raising funds to support my selection in the Australasia Under-15 Ladies’ Gaelic Football team, which will travel to Ireland in June 2026 to compete at the LGFA Féile tournament in Derry.

I love competing at the highest level possible in basketball and AFL, representing the Southern Peninsula Sharks in basketball and the MPJFL and Melbourne FC Next Generation Academy in AFL. Selectors have identified that my athleticism, determination and attitude transfer strongly to the Gaelic game. After playing in a tournament last year for Young Melbourne in Geelong, I can say I really enjoyed it and got a great appreciation for the game.

Gaelic football is an amateur sport and representative tours like this are mostly self-funded. The funds raised will help cover essential costs such as flights, accommodation, team levies, uniforms and preparation expenses.

This opportunity means a lot to me. It’s a chance to challenge myself at an international level, learn a new sport in its home country and represent my team, family and community with pride. I’m incredibly grateful for any support that helps make this experience possible.
