    My name is Amber Hood, I am a member of the Australian Women's Softball Team, Aussie Spirit. 


    I am proud to be pursuing the opportunity to represent Australia in softball at the highest level, with my focus set on upcoming Olympic and World Cup competitions and current selection in the International Cup, Oklahoma 23 July - 6 August 2026. 


    Australia has a proud Olympic history in softball securing medals at the 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. With softball reinstated for the 2028 LA Olympic Games, my ambition is to contribute to that legacy and help return Australia to the Olympic podium following Tokyo 2020.


    I am currently work full-time while balancing the demands of full-time training. After using all of my annual leave at National and International events earlier this year, all remaining training camps and tours will require unpaid leave from work adding further financial pressure alongside travel and training costs. 


    Through the support of the Australian Sports Foundation, I am seeking to raise funds that will directly contribute to these essential costs and allow me to prepare and compete at an elite level. 


    Any support will help me continue pursuing my dream and opportunity to represent Australia on the world stage.
