    ABOUT Amy McIntyre

As a passionate athlete competing in a traditionally male-dominated sport, I’m proud to be part of the growing movement for gender equality in sport. I believe representation matters — not just on the mat, but in the values we demonstrate every day: resilience, dedication, and belief in what’s possible.

Most importantly, I’m a mother. My biggest motivation is to set a strong example for my daughter and the other kids in our community — to model the importance of discipline, the power that comes from nourishing our bodies, and the confidence to set and fiercely pursue big goals.

Through my journey, I hope to inspire other women and girls to take up space in sport, challenge limits, and know that strength, skill, and ambition have no gender. By fundraising and competing, I’m not just chasing personal bests — I’m helping build a more inclusive future for the next generation.

Donations are gratefully accepted to support my goals of travelling to compete at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Nationals, and the World Masters Championships. This journey isn’t just mine — I’m committed to bringing back the skills and knowledge I gain to our gym community, with the goal of establishing a dedicated women’s class movement to help more women step confidently onto the mats.
