ABOUT Andrea Paige Davey
Andrea (26) is a sailor from Sydney, Australia taking on the Mini Transat 2027. She will be the 2nd Australian women and the 11th Australian to ever compete in this race.
The Mini Transat is a biannual solo transatlantic race, run since 1977. It is completed in 2 legs whereby competitors have no contact with land. Andrea has chosen a series (production) boat called a 'Maxi' with the number 1118. To qualify, skippers need to complete a minimum of 1500nm in race and a 1000nm solo qualifying passage in the years leading up to their transat.
The 'Mini' is a 6.50m sailboat with an expansive racing circuit in France and is seen as a 'feeder class' for Figaro, Class40 and IMOCA classes. The Mini's have bread legends such as Dame Ellen MacArthur, Sam Davies and Clarisse Crémer.
Andrea is currently seeking support to compete in the Mini6.50 racing circuit in France throughout 2026 and 2027 in order to qualify for the Mini Transat 2027. Your donations will go towards Andrea's coaching, vital on-water nutrition, race entry, insurance as well as the necessary repairs and maintenance throughout the project.
This project supports the children of ATASH - Centre de Réadaptation d'Oléron by exploring safe activities and research into adapted physical activity and creating memorable days on the water. Andrea will also capture video content whilst sailing to create VR experiences for these children, sharing the joy of sailing. These young sailors will (virtually) cross the atlantic with me!
There are endless partnership and brand alignment opportunities, if you would like to partner with Andrea in another way, please get in contact via email: adavey.sailing@gmail.com
