Hello my name is Angelene McLean, I&#39;m 12 years old and last year of 2024 through Pickleball Australia Association (PAA) - Australia Ranking (AR), I became the no.1 Junior in Australia for both Junior Girls Singles and Girls Doubles pickleball. :) Please support my continued development for the Junior PPA Australia Tour and beyond... namely the main Junior PPA Tour in the US. I want to continue being the No.1 Junior in Australia and continue to be very competitive locally to give me the experience to become the No.1 Junior in the World. It&#39;s my goal to continue to develop my pickleball mechanics, skills, body and importantly my pickleball mindset. I&#39;d love to one day play in the Olympics and represent Australia &quot;when&quot; the sport will be included!​I train/drill daily with my dad and other pickleball coaches as well as play social pickleball 3 to 5 times a week​ in our Pickleball FUN Community pickleball club. I am very committed to working very hard on improving and becoming the best pickleball female player in Australia and then the World. Even at the age of 12, I have already played in many tournaments in Australia and a lot more within our weekly mini-tournaments with the club, and have medalled at every event, acquiring more golds than any other medal. :)​As I have been playing pickleball for nearly 2 years now, I have​ come from a high-level junior tennis background since I was 6 years old. This fast-growing sport has given me the passion and work ethic to do what I must, be the best I can be, and put in the necessary work to get there. I train/drill hard to achieve my goals, have a lot of FUN doing it and this work ethic will be used in my awesome journey of Pickleball. Here is my article at our local council paper on page 11 - https://www.manningham.vic.gov.au/sites/default/files/2025-04/Manningham%20Matters%20-%20April%202025%20web.pdf​The​ money will be used for the following: <ul><li>Daily training with my pickleball coaches, and a fitness/health coach, focusing on shot mechanics, court awareness/anticipation skills, mindset and body health.</li></ul> <ul><li>Acquiring all my equipment (paddles &amp; pickleball balls) and clothing (shoes).</li></ul> <ul><li>All travel (flights, car hire &amp; uber rides) and accommodation for AU inter-state, NZ flights and eventually Asia and US flights.</li></ul> <ul><li>Court hire, pickleball machine hire and other pickleball equipment needed for my daily training.</li></ul> <ul><li>Monthly membership for my pickleball facility which will also apply to using the gymnasium and pool for my core and strength training.</li></ul> <ul><li>All tournaments from Junior PPA, State and National entry fees.</li></ul> <ul><li>All other activities related to my growth in pickleball, to maintain my Junior No.1 pickleball status in Australia and develop my abilities even further, to compete at international tournaments. </li></ul>​There​ is currently no funding for this sport in Australia so any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated and go a long way to helping me reach my national Junior PPA Tour Australia and very soon International Pickleball goals!
