Help Me Represent Australia in Athletics

Hi, my name is Annisha Reader, and I’m a 16-year-old athlete from NSW with a dream of one day representing Australia on the world stage in Discus or Hammer Throw.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked incredibly hard to develop my skills and compete at the highest level I can. Some of my achievements so far include:

• 2021 Little Athletics NSW State Record – Discus 
• 2023 Australian Junior Athletics Championships – Gold (Discus), Bronze (Hammer Throw) 
• 2023 Australian All Schools Athletics Championships – Gold (Discus) 
• 2023 Selected to represent NSW at the Australian Little Athletics Championships – Silver (Discus) 
• 2024 Selected to represent NSW at the Australian Little Athletics Championships – Gold & Meet Record (Discus) 
• 2025 Australian Junior Athletics Championships – Bronze (Hammer Throw)
• 2025 Australian All Schools Athletics Championships – Gold (Hammer Throw).

I’m so excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Regional Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin from 18–23 May 2026. This competition features athletes from across the Oceania region, making it my first opportunity to compete at an international level and an important step toward my long-term goal of representing Australia.

This opportunity means everything to me, but it also comes with significant costs. I’ll already be competing at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Brisbane in April, and the combined expenses are a big commitment for my family. Costs include team levies, uniforms, flights, accommodation, ongoing professional coaching, throwing shoes (which I wear out frequently and need to replace) and equipment.

I’m fundraising to help ease this financial pressure so I can focus on performing at my best and making the most of this incredible opportunity.
