ABOUT ANZAC Malta - Coastal Rowing

In April 2025, South Australian School Students will travel to Malta to participate in a significant ANZAC Rowing competition, commemorating Malta's crucial support of ANZAC forces during World War I.

This event will honor the historical alliance between Malta and the ANZAC troops, who relied on Malta as a vital base and medical hub during the conflict. The competition will showcase athletic skill and students will join teams from around the world, celebrating history and forging new connections through the spirit of rowing.

This experience will challenge them to perform for their country and allow the development of a deep understanding and appreciation of our Anzac history. Although this important international experience will be rewarding, it is an expensive and logistically challenging exercise. Students, support crew, and families are actively fundraising to subsidize student costs and to also provide a suitable uniform that proudly represents our country.
