Australian Ice racing is in a rebuilding stage, with no pathway to elite performance in country, athlete's are training overseas with other countries in order to be competitive on the world stage. The funding models available are based upon achieving results at the highest level, without a National Program these results are unachievable within Australia. Establishing a high performance program within Australia will allow a pathway for the current junior skaters to reach the level of elite performance and become a catalyst to return Australia to a competitive country on the world stage.
