🌟 My Story: From Taiwan to the Australian National Team

Hi everyone, I’m Ayrton! When I was just 5 years old, I stepped onto the Taekwondo mats for the very first time. Today, at 12, I am stepping out of my comfort zone to share my journey with you.

Moving from Taiwan to Australia two years ago was a massive turning point for me. It forced me to grow up fast and learn what true independence means. I had to navigate a new culture, a new language, and learn how to catch public transports by myself. But through all the changes, I refused to give up on my passion for Taekwondo.

Because our standards were high, it took my mom 6 long months of searching just to find the right elite club that could support my goals. The only training hall (Dojang) is located 45 minutes away from home. Braving a 1.5-hour round trip 3 to 4 times every single week requires absolute, unwavering commitment from both of us, but we never complained.

Recently, in my very first time trying out for the Australian National Team selection, I faced the toughest competition in the country. Against all odds, I secured a spot in the Top 5, earning the prestigious honor of representing Australia at the upcoming World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in South Korea—the birthplace of Taekwondo.

🔥 The Dedication Behind the Uniform

Earning the Green and Gold uniform isn't a matter of luck. This incredible milestone would never have been possible without the wisdom, guidance, and tireless dedication of my coaches, who have shaped me into the elite athlete I am today. Backed by their guidance, I have poured my heart and soul into my sport:

• Perfection in Every Movement: Poomsae requires flawless precision, intense focus, and mental sharpness—qualities I practice every single day.
• Unmatched Commitment: I have never missed a training session. While others rested, I was on the mats, pushing through fatigue, refining my kicks, and sharpening my forms.

My selection to the Australian team is the ultimate reward for the hard work my coaches and I have put in over the years.

💡 A Story of Resilience, Independence & Accountability

Behind my success is a very tight-knit team: a hardworking single mother, a dedicated son, and a massive commitment to the sport. As a single parent working full-time, my mom does everything she can to support my dreams. However, the financial reality of elite international competition is a steep hill to climb on our own.

Knowing this reality, I made a mature and conscious decision: I want to earn my way to the World Championships independently. I firmly refuse to place the entire financial burden on my mother's shoulders. I want to see if I can stand on my own two feet as a true athlete.

I believe that relying solely on family funding leaves no independence of achievement; instead, I want to place the accountability entirely on myself—being sponsored by and accountable to the countrymen I am proudly representing.

💌 A Note from Mom: The only financial contribution Ayrton has agreed to accept from me is my absolute dedication of time and care. Outside of my full-time job, I am investing everything I have into his journey—taking time off work to travel with him as his mandatory Cadet guardian, spending countless hours every week managing his elite nutrition, and driving him to and from training 3 to 4 times a week. We would be profoundly grateful for any extra support to help bring this dream within reach.

📊 Detailed Funding Breakdown (Target: $8,000)

To ensure absolute transparency, we have tightly optimized our budget to cover only the most critical, unavoidable costs. As I am an elite minor athlete (Cadet class), official regulations strictly require a mandatory adult guardian to accompany me. Every single dollar goes directly toward these bare-minimum logistics:

• International Flights & Accommodation ($5,500)
  • Return Flights (Brisbane ⇄ Seoul): Approx. $1,700 per person × 2 (Ayrton + mandatory adult guardian) = $3,400
  • Accommodation in South Korea (12/Sep/2026 – 22/Sep/2026): 10 nights near the venue for the official competition block. Approx. $130 USD ($200 AUD) per night for a dual-occupancy room = $2,000
  • Note: The remaining $100 strictly goes toward mandatory international travel insurance for an athlete. All other ground meals and transit costs will be covered personally by Mom.
• Interstate Elite Training ($1,000)
  • Domestic return flights and budget short-stay accommodation to attend mandatory National Team training camps in southern states to train directly with national coaches and teammates prior to departure.
• Tournament Registration, Lead-up Circuit & Ground Logistics ($1,500)
  • Lead-up Tournament Registration Fees: Entry fees and official international athlete licensing for the 3 critical selection events (Oceania Championships, Australian Open, and President's Cup) = $600
  • Selection Circuit Accommodation: Accommodation during the selection events (e.g., Gold Coast competition block), calculated at 2 nights @ $300/night = $600
  • Official Poomsae Competition Uniform: Mandatory World Taekwondo (WT) approved Poomsae uniform for the world stage = $100
  • Ground Transport & Logistics: Commuting costs, including fuel and local transport logistics for daily high-performance training and transit during intensive preparation blocks = $200

兩年前，我跟著媽媽從台灣搬到了澳洲。來到一個全然陌生的環境，但我說什麼也不想放棄最愛的跆拳道。為了幫我找到真正適合、足夠專業的道館，媽媽整整找了半年。雖然最後找到了，但道館距離我們的住處真的非常遙遠——單趟車程就要 45 分鐘。每週 3 到 4 次、來回奔波將近一個半小時的車程，如果沒有極大的決心，真的無法做到。

為了不讓距離成為阻礙，我必須快速學會獨立。我努力適應語言，自己研究路線、自己搭公車上下學好減輕媽媽的負擔。那些漫長的通勤路程和生活中的小改變，給了我很大的勇氣。就在不久前，我第一次參加了澳洲國家隊的選拔。面對來自全澳洲最強勁的手，我拼盡全力，最終成功突圍、奪下全國前 5 強！正式取得了代表澳洲前往跆拳道發源地——南韓，參加「世界跆拳道品勢錦標賽」的殊榮！

🔥 國家隊戰袍背後的汗水

穿上綠金相間的澳洲國家隊制服並非幸運。今天能有這樣的成就，我首先要深深感謝道館教練們多年來的悉心栽培、嚴格訓練與無私奉獻，才形塑出今天在場上自信發光的我。在教練們的帶領下，過去 7 年來，我付出了絕對的熱情與毅力：

• 極致專注： 品勢（Poomsae）追求零瑕疵的精準度與心理韌性，是我日復一日的修煉。
• 從未缺席： 7 年來我從未漏掉任何一場訓練。當別人在休息時，我仍在道場上揮汗、修正踢法、淬鍊動作。

入選國家隊不僅是一個里程碑，更是對教練團栽培與「天道酬勤」最好的回報。

💡 關於獨立、責任感與母親的後盾

在榮耀的背後，是一個彼此緊密相依的單親家庭。作為一位全職工作的單親媽媽，我媽媽一直拼盡全力支撐著我的夢想。然而，面對國際頂級賽事的龐大開銷，單憑我們小家庭的一己之力實在有些沉重，這也是我決定站出來發起募款的原因。懂事的我深知家裡的狀況，從入選國家隊的那天起，我就做了一個非常成熟的決定：我希望憑藉身為運動員的實力，獨立贏得走向世界舞台的機會。

我堅決不想把這筆沉重的財務負擔完全壓在媽媽一人肩膀上。我認為，如果只依賴家裡的資金，就無法體現真正屬於自己的獨立成就；相反地，我希望把責任扛在自己心上——透過公開尋求社會與企業的贊助，向所有支持我的人與國家負責。

💌 來自媽媽的心聲： 作為母親，Ayrton 唯一願意接受我的贊助，就只有我的「時間」與「愛」。在全職工作之餘，我毫無保留地投入我的時間：向公司請假以監護人身份隨行陪同出征、每週花費無數個小時調配他的運動營養餐、每週 3-4 次開車風雨無阻地單趟 45 分鐘接送他往返道場。非常感激社會各界能給予我們更多的支持與溫暖。

📊 募款款項透明化明細（目標：$8,000 澳幣）

本著公開透明的原則，我們極致優化了預算，只募集最無可妥協的硬性開銷。由於我屬於青少年組別（Cadet），依大會官方規定，必須有成年監護人全程陪同。這筆款項將百分之百實打實地投入在最基本的物流上：

• 南韓機票與住宿 ($5,500 澳幣)
  • 國際往返機票（布里斯本 ⇄ 首爾）： 單人約 $1,700 澳幣 × 2 人（選手本體 + 官方強制陪同監護人）= $3,400 澳幣
  • 南韓參賽住宿（2026/09/12 – 2026/09/22）： 配合賽程共計 10 晚。雙人房每天折合約 $130 美金（約 $200 澳幣），緊鄰賽場以確保選手休息 = $2,000 澳幣
  • 備註：此項目其餘的 $100 澳幣將僅用於購買運動員海外專用保險。大賽期間兩人的膳食與當地交通雜支，將全數由媽媽全職工作的收入自行貼補。
• 跨州國家隊強制集訓 ($1,000 澳幣)
  • 包含前往澳洲南部參加國家隊強制性賽前集訓的國內往返機票與極簡住宿，讓我在出國前與國家隊總教練及隊友進行高強度的戰術磨合。
• 賽事報名、前哨戰住宿與地面後勤費用 ($1,500 澳幣)
  • 三大選拔賽報名費： 挺進世錦賽前的三大關鍵前哨戰（大洋洲錦標賽、澳洲公開賽及主席盃）的官方報名費與國際運動員執照年費 = $600 澳幣
  • 選拔賽異地參賽住宿： 參加上述選拔賽事（如黃金海岸密集賽事 block）期間的住宿費用，以 2 晚計算（每晚 $300 澳幣）= $600 澳幣
  • 官方指定品勢比賽服： 世界跆拳道聯盟（WT）認證之大賽指定品勢專用道服 = $100 澳幣
  • 日常地面交通與後勤： 往返每日高強度道館訓練、跨區密集集訓與賽事期間的往返車資與燃油費後勤 = $200 澳幣
