Who We Are

We are one of Australia’s leading buhurt clubs, putting armoured fighters on the field in full steel and full contact.

Beasts Armoured Combat Inc is a Brisbane-based community club dedicated to the full-contact medieval sport of armoured combat, also known as buhurt. Our athletes train year-round to develop strength, skill, teamwork, and resilience, while upholding a strong culture of safety, respect, and inclusivity. We compete nationally and internationally, proudly representing Australia in one of the world’s most demanding combat sports.

What is Buhurt?

Buhurt is a fast-growing full-contact combat sport fought in armour. It includes three main categories:

• Buhurt: Team battles, last person/team standing.
• Duelling: Points-based single combat with weapons such as longsword, sword and buckler, or polearm.
• Outrance: Armoured mixed martial arts one on one combat.

The sport combines strength, strategy, endurance, and teamwork, and is rapidly growing in Australia and internationally.

What We Are About

Buhurt builds far more than physical strength. It develops discipline, confidence, mental resilience, and a strong sense of belonging. Our club provides a supportive environment where people from diverse backgrounds can challenge themselves, learn new skills, and be part of a close-knit team working toward shared goals.

Our Teams

Beasts Armoured Combat Inc currently supports three competitive teams:

• Beasts – Division 1 men’s team competing nationally and internationally. Currently Australia’s top men’s team after winning the AMCF Nationals 2025.
• Bloods – Division 2 men’s team competing nationally. A highly competitive second team that consistently places at local events.
• Sheasts – Women’s team competing nationally and internationally. Currently the second-best women’s team in Australia following AMCF Nationals 2025.

Every donation you make supports all three teams, helping both elite and up-and-coming athletes reach the field.

Why We Need Your Help

Many of our athletes balance full-time work or study with training, often funding their own armour and travel. Community support is the difference between watching from the sidelines and stepping onto the field.

Armoured combat is uniquely equipment- and travel-intensive. Each fighter requires full steel armour, safety equipment, and ongoing repairs, alongside venue hire, competition fees, and travel costs. Funds raised directly support national and international competition opportunities, help grow the sport, and empower our athletes to reach their full potential. Your donation ensures our fighters can train safely, compete confidently, and continue representing Australia on the world stage.

Where Your Donation Goes

Every contribution has a direct impact:

• $50 – Maintains armour and safety gear
• $100 – Contributes to venue hire and training equipment
• $250 – Supports competition entry fees
• $500+ – Helps cover interstate or international travel for athletes
