    ABOUT Bella Taylor-Rose

Help Bella Taylor-Rose Represent Australia on the World Stage 🇦🇺

At just 16 years old, Sunshine Coast athlete Bella Taylor-Rose has earned an incredible opportunity — to represent Australia in powerlifting on the world stage in Las Vegas in November 2026.

For Bella, this is about much more than a competition. It is the next step in an extraordinary sporting journey and an opportunity to gain invaluable international competition experience as she works towards her ultimate dream of one day becoming an Olympian.

Sport has always been part of Bella’s life

Bella has always loved sport and competition. Long before discovering powerlifting, she was already a talented and dedicated multi-sport athlete. Bella has represented Queensland in softball and has been selected in multiple representative teams across softball, rugby league and rugby union.

Those experiences taught her about teamwork, commitment, resilience and what it means to represent your team and your state with pride.

    But then Bella discovered powerlifting.

    And something clicked.

    Powerlifting became her passion.

For the first time, Bella found a sport where the biggest competition wasn’t necessarily the person beside her — it was herself.

Every training session became an opportunity to improve. Every lift gave her another target. Every competition challenged her to become stronger, more disciplined and more confident.

The sport gave Bella somewhere to channel her determination and showed her what she was capable of achieving when she truly committed herself to something.

From finding her strength to representing Australia

Bella’s journey hasn’t always been easy.

She has overcome challenges that tested her confidence and resilience, but finding powerlifting gave her something incredibly positive to focus on. Bella has also inspired other girls her age to find their strength and believe in themselves.

What started as training quickly became a passion. Bella committed herself completely. She listened to her coach, turned up, worked hard and continued setting herself bigger goals.

    The results have been remarkable.

In a relatively short time competing in powerlifting competitions, Bella has broken 11 Australian records and earned the opportunity to represent her country internationally. Bella is off to Melbourne in September for the Nationals to help prepare for Worlds.

From representing Queensland in softball and competing in representative rugby league and rugby union teams, to now preparing to wear the green and gold in powerlifting, Bella’s sporting journey has taken an incredible turn.

    And she is only 16.

    She works for her dream

Bella understands that opportunities like this aren’t simply given to you.

    They are earned.

At only 16, she balances Year 11, work, training and competition preparation while maintaining the demanding schedule required of an athlete preparing to compete internationally. Bella works at her local IGA and uses her own earnings to help pay for her personal training and coaching.

There are school days, work shifts, training sessions, early mornings and sacrifices that most people never see. But Bella keeps showing up. She trains. She listens. She learns. She works. And when something doesn’t go to plan, she gets back to work.

Because wearing the green and gold means that much to her.

    Our $25,000 fundraising goal

We are aiming to raise $25,000 to help Bella pursue this incredible opportunity and continue developing as an Australian athlete.

Every dollar raised will help support the costs associated with Bella’s journey, including:

    • Travel and flights
    • Australian team uniform and sporting apparel
    • Accommodation
    • Training and preparation
    • Coaching
    • Competition costs and entry fees
    • Powerlifting equipment
    • Other eligible expenses associated with competing and developing at an international level

This isn’t simply about helping Bella travel to Las Vegas.

It’s about investing in what could come next.

Competing internationally gives Bella the opportunity to experience the pressure, expectations and standard of world-level competition while she is still only 16.

Bella dreams of continuing to develop over the coming years, representing Australia at the highest possible level and ultimately pursuing the opportunity to become an Olympian, with Brisbane 2032 firmly in her sights.

There are no guarantees in elite sport.

But Bella is prepared to put in the work to give herself every possible chance.

Three keys to Bella’s fundraising journey

    1. Reaching beyond family and friends

Getting an Australian athlete onto the international stage takes more than one family.

    It takes a community.

We are reaching beyond our immediate circle to local businesses, sporting organisations, community groups and Australians who believe in supporting young athletes prepared to work hard for their opportunities.

You don’t need to know Bella personally to become part of her journey.

    2. Using technology to reach a wider community

Technology allows Bella’s story to travel much further than we ever could on our own.

Through social media, email and community networks, every person who shares this fundraising page helps introduce Bella’s story to someone new.

If donating isn’t possible, sharing Bella’s story is another powerful way to support her.

One share could reach the person, business or organisation that decides they want to become part of Bella’s journey.

    3. Finding the courage to ask

For Bella, one of the hardest parts of fundraising isn’t lifting weights or competing.

    It’s asking people for support.

Bella can be shy, and asking others to help financially doesn’t come naturally to her.

But this experience is teaching her another important lesson — sometimes achieving something extraordinary means having the courage to tell people what you’re working towards and ask them to believe in you.

Bella isn’t asking anyone else to do the hard work for her.

    She’s already doing it.

    She trains.

    She competes.

    She works.

She contributes towards her own coaching.

She balances school with the demands of competitive sport.

And she will continue doing everything she can to earn every opportunity that comes her way.

What we’re asking is whether our wider community will help her take that hard work all the way to the world stage.

From the Sunshine Coast to the world stage 🇦🇺

Behind every Australian athlete competing internationally is a network of people who helped them get there. Family. Coaches. Friends. Businesses. Community organisations. And sometimes complete strangers who simply saw potential in a young athlete and decided to help. When Bella represents Australia, she won’t be doing it alone. She will be carrying the support of everyone who helped her get there.

    Our goal is $25,000.

Whether it’s $2, $20, $200 or $2,000, every contribution takes Bella another step closer.

Donations of $2 or more through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax deductible.

And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing Bella’s page. Your share could be just as valuable in helping her story reach someone who can.
