Help Bella Taylor-Rose Represent Australia on the World Stage 🇦🇺At just 16 years old, Sunshine Coast athlete Bella Taylor-Rose has achieved something she once could only have dreamed about — earning the opportunity to represent Australia in powerlifting at the World Championships in Las Vegas in November 2026.Bella’s journey to the world stage has been incredibly fast, but it certainly hasn’t been easy.In a relatively short time in competitive powerlifting, Bella has already broken 11 Australian records, demonstrating not only her natural ability but an extraordinary level of determination, discipline and commitment. But the records only tell part of Bella’s story.Finding her strengthBella has had to overcome challenges and periods where her confidence was tested. Finding powerlifting gave her something incredibly positive to work towards. The gym became a place where she could challenge herself, build confidence and discover just how capable she was. What started as training quickly became a passion.Bella committed herself completely. She listened to her coach, turned up to training, worked hard and continued setting herself new goals. With every competition, she grew stronger — not only as an athlete, but as a young person. Her dedication soon began producing remarkable results.Within months, Bella was competing at a national level, breaking Australian records and earning the opportunity to wear the green and gold. Now she has the chance to take the next enormous step: representing Australia at the World Championships in Las Vegas.A young athlete who works for her dreamOne of the things that makes Bella’s journey particularly special is how much responsibility she takes for achieving her goals.Bella balances Year 11, work, training and competition preparation while maintaining the demanding schedule required of an athlete preparing to compete internationally. She also works at her local IGA and uses money she earns herself to help pay for her personal training and coaching. She understands that opportunities like this don’t simply happen. They require sacrifice, discipline and hard work. There are early mornings, long training sessions, school commitments, work shifts and days when she is tired — but she keeps showing up.Because representing Australia means that much to her.Why Bella is fundraisingBeing selected to represent Australia is an incredible honour, but for individual athletes and their families, competing internationally also comes with significant costs.Funds raised through Bella’s Australian Sports Foundation campaign will help support the sporting expenses associated with preparing for and competing at the World Championships, including:

Flights and travel associated with international competition

Accommodation

Competition and athlete expenses

Coaching and training

Powerlifting equipment and sporting apparel

Strength, conditioning and athlete preparation

Other eligible costs associated with Bella’s sporting journey

Every contribution, regardless of its size, helps reduce the financial barrier between Bella and the opportunity she has worked so hard to earn.Learning to ask for supportFor Bella, one of the biggest challenges of fundraising isn’t training or competing. It’s asking people for help.Bella can be shy, and asking someone to support her financially doesn’t come naturally. But this journey is teaching her another important lesson: sometimes achieving something extraordinary means having the courage to tell people your story and ask them to become part of it.So Bella and her family are following three important principles in this fundraising journey.1. Reaching beyond close family and friendsBella’s dream has already received wonderful encouragement from those closest to her, but getting an Australian athlete to an international competition takes a community. We are reaching beyond our immediate circle to local businesses, sporting organisations, community groups and people who simply believe in supporting young Australians prepared to work hard for an opportunity. You don’t have to know Bella personally to become part of her journey.2. Using technology to reach a wider communityBella’s Australian Sports Foundation page gives us the opportunity to share her story far beyond the people we see every day.Through social media, email and community networks, one person sharing Bella’s story can introduce her journey to hundreds more.Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing Bella’s fundraising page can make an enormous difference.Someone you know may see her story and decide they would like to help an Australian teenager chase an extraordinary sporting dream.3. Overcoming the shyness of asking for supportPerhaps the biggest lesson for Bella is learning that asking for support isn’t something to be embarrassed about. She isn’t asking others to do the hard work for her.Bella is doing the work. She trains. She competes. She works. She contributes towards her own coaching. She balances school with the demands of being an athlete. And she will continue doing everything she can to earn the opportunity that is now in front of her. What she is asking is whether her community will help her take that hard work all the way to the world stage. From the Sunshine Coast to Las Vegas 🇦🇺Behind every Australian athlete who steps onto an international platform is a network of people who helped them get there.Family.Coaches.Friends.Local businesses.Community organisations. And sometimes complete strangers who simply saw potential in a young Australian and decided to support it.Bella will be the athlete standing on that platform in Las Vegas, but she won’t be standing there alone. She will be carrying the support of everyone who helped make the journey possible.Whether you donate, share her page, introduce her story to a business or organisation, or simply send her some encouragement, you become part of Bella’s Australian journey. From a 16-year-old Sunshine Coast student who discovered a sport she loved…to an Australian record breaker…to earning the opportunity to represent her country on the world stage. This is only the beginning of Bella Taylor-Rose’s story. Please help us give her the opportunity to see just how far her strength, determination and hard work can take her.Help Bella get to Las Vegas. Help her represent Australia. And help a young Australian athlete chase a very big dream. 🇦🇺💚💛
