Belvoir Park Golf Club currently operates a successful driving range facility. However, the existing uncovered facility limits use during periods of adverse weather and restricts opportunities for coaching, clinics, junior programs and member engagement activities. Golf industry trends continue to demonstrate strong growth in practice facilities and introductory golf experiences.

President of Belvoir Park Golf Club John Kerr says the all-weather facility will be developed as part of a partnership between the golf club and the Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise. “The driving range project will provide more golf for more people with a focus on getting schools in the region involved. It is a heavy commitment by the golf club and the all-weather shelter will be a major boost for our sport.

The area for development will be 26m wide 4m high and 6m deep thus providing 9 golf bays including barriers. Lighting of the facility will soon extend coaching and practice hours during winter and improve sun protection, as well as creating a designated viewing area for parents and families.”
