ABOUT Ben Taylor
My name is Ben Taylor, and I am a neurodivergent Australian motorsport athlete competing at a national level. Motorsport is a high-pressure, high-performance environment — and for me, it’s also where my neurodiversity becomes a strength.
Like many neurodivergent people, I experience the world differently. That brings challenges, but it also brings unique focus, pattern recognition, resilience, and determination — all critical attributes in motorsport. Racing has given me structure, purpose, and a platform to show that disability does not limit potential when the right support systems are in place.
Competing in motorsport requires significant financial investment. Beyond standard costs such as race entry fees, tyres, travel, and vehicle maintenance, my program also includes specialist coaching, performance support, and tailored preparation to ensure I can compete consistently and professionally.
Through the Australian Sports Foundation, I am raising funds to support my racing campaign and ongoing development as an elite athlete. Donations directly contribute to the operational and performance costs required to remain competitive at a national level.
I care deeply about this journey because representation matters. By continuing to race, I aim to challenge outdated perceptions of disability and demonstrate what is possible in elite sport. I also want to create visibility for neurodivergent athletes and encourage greater inclusion across motorsport and high-performance environments. With the support of the community, sponsors, and donors, I am committed to building a sustainable racing program that delivers results on track while creating positive impact beyond it.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
Ben.
