Help me represent Australia in parasnowboard at 2030 Paralympic Winter Games

Hi, my name is Blair Rosser and I’m a para-athlete chasing a dream that once seemed impossible: to compete internationally in Para Snowboard competitions and eventually having the honour of representing Australia at the greatest sporting event in the world – the Paralympic Games.

But to get there, I need your support.

🚨 The Day That Changed Everything

On November 15, 2020, my life changed forever.

What started as a routine drive home from working on a property in Kenilworth turned into a nightmare. A sudden argument between the driver and front passenger escalated, and we veered off the road into a tree. A loose car jack became a deadly projectile, severing my left ankle nearly completely. I also suffered three broken ribs and a punctured lung.

I was airlifted to Brisbane’s Royal Hospital and spent weeks in recovery. I lost my leg that day—but not my will to live.

The months that followed were brutal. I fell hard—mentally, physically, emotionally. I battled through pain, depression, and alcohol abuse. At 24, it felt like life had barely begun… only to be ripped away.

🏔 The Moment That Brought Me Back

A phone call from Tom Hodges, a para-scout snowboard coach, changed my course.

“Want to try snowboarding?”

Four days on the snow, and something shifted. I felt free again. I wasn’t “disabled” on the board—I was just an athlete. A competitor.

Four years later, I’m proud to say I’ve been part of the ETP Development Program for two years, racing domestically with strong results. I’ve poured everything—time, money, grit—into this journey.

Now, I’m ready to take the next step: International competition.

🗺 What’s Next

I’m at the very beginning of this journey — this season I joined the Australian Para Snowboard National Team and trained with them throughout the entire domestic season. I’ve been given the chance to pursue my dream, to travel overseas with the Team, and to begin my very first international season 2025/2026

The race calendar itself is very tight and spread out all over the world. Our tour stops are:

• November Landgraaf, NED Classification and Banked Slalom

• December China Banked slalom and Snowboardcross

• January Kuhtai, AUT banked slalom

           Lenk SUI Snowboardcross

• February Big white CAN Snowbopardcross

     Steamboat USA banked slalom

To get there I need to found my flights, training, equipment, accommodation, and race fees—not just this year, but to build momentum over the next few years.

🎯 Fundraising Goal: $35,000+

This isn’t a fixed target—it’s a long-term investment into training and racing across the Globe. Every single dollar will go directly toward:

• Flights & Accommodation

• Board & Equipment upgrades

• Training camps

• Coaching & Support Services

I’m funding this season with personal savings and the help of a few close friends—but to continue, I have to ask for Your help.

🙏 Why This Matters

I’m not just riding for myself, My mother and the people that believed in me and the multitude of people this happens too,

I want to show them that I’m okay—and that no accident, no loss, no trauma defines who we are
