ABOUT BOWRAVILLE JUNIOR RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB INC
Building the Next 50 Years of Tigers
In 1972, a group of local volunteers built something extraordinary.
What started as a junior rugby league club became one of the most important community organisations in the Nambucca Valley.
For more than 50 years, the Bowraville Tigers have helped shape generations of local children.
They have provided a safe place to belong.
A place to build confidence.
A place to learn resilience.
A place where lifelong friendships begin.
A place where future leaders, parents, workers, volunteers and role models take their first steps towards adulthood.
Some of those children went on to achieve remarkable things.
One of them was Greg Inglis.
Long before he became one of the greatest players to ever play rugby league, he was a young kid wearing a Bowraville Tigers jersey.
His story began here.
But the true success of the Tigers isn't measured by the players who reached the NRL.
It's measured by the thousands of children who found confidence, friendship, purpose and belonging through this club.
Every weekend, hundreds of children pull on the black and gold jersey.
For some, it's the highlight of their week.
For some, it's where they find their closest friends.
For some, it's where trusted adults believe in them.
For all of them, it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves.
The Bowraville Tigers have never simply been a football club.
We are part of the fabric of this community.
Part of its history.
Part of its identity.
Part of its future.
Today, we have an opportunity to build something even stronger.
To improve facilities.
To support volunteers.
To create new opportunities for players.
To strengthen pathways for young people.
To ensure every child who wants to play has access to a safe, welcoming and positive environment.
To build a club that will continue serving our community for another 50 years and beyond.
The volunteers who built this club in 1972 gave future generations a gift.
Today, we have the opportunity to honour that gift by building an even stronger future.
Every donation, no matter the size, becomes an investment in local children.
An investment in community.
An investment in opportunity.
An investment in the next Greg Inglis.
But more importantly, an investment in the thousands of local children whose stories may never make the newspapers but whose lives will be shaped by the opportunities this club provides.
When a child pulls on a Tigers jersey, they gain more than a team.
They gain a safe place to belong, trusted adults who care, lifelong friendships and the opportunity to become the next generation of our community.
Together, we can build a stronger Bowraville Tigers.
Not just for today's players.
But for every child who will wear the black and gold in the decades to come.
Help us build the next 50 years of Tigers.
