As a not-for-profit organisation, that is run by volunteers, our facilities are our lifeblood. We strive hard to maintain them to the highest standards but sometimes we need assistance.

In March 2025, TC Alfred devastated our Carina facility resulting in the loss of all our electrics, canteen equipment and field maintenance equipment (including 2 ride-on mowers). Our latest fundraiser hopes to replace the larger ride-on. In the 2022 February floods our field lights were completely wiped out and we are yet to replace them.

Our Downey Park facility is ageing. Most of our field lights are 'old technology' ie halogen lights. We are progressively trying to replace those bulbs with LEDs. Ideally, we like to replace them all at once to save on installations costs. We would also like to update our Clubhouse to provide a nice facility for the community to use and potentially create an additional source of income.

Grants are an obvious source of income, but we are competing with other sporting organisations for the same limited funds. We choose not to put pressure on membership by increasing fees, so we're trying something a bit different.
