Help Cameron Chase His Dream in the Green & Gold

At just 17 years old, Cameron Badger has earned the incredible honour of being selected to represent Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships this May in Darwin — competing in the 400m hurdles and named as reserve for the 110m hurdles.

This opportunity didn’t come overnight. Cameron has spent years balancing two demanding sports, competing at a high level in both athletics and soccer. His commitment, discipline, and drive have shaped him into the athlete he is today — someone who consistently shows up, puts in the work, and performs when it matters most.

    His achievements speak for themselves:

6-time National Champion, 17-time National Medallist, and an Australian Record Holder.

But what those results don’t show is the late nights, the long training sessions, and the sacrifices made to reach this level.

Representing Australia is a dream come true — but it also comes with significant costs. Travel, accommodation, competition expenses, and ongoing training support quickly adds up, and like many athletes, Cameron’s family solely funds this journey themselves.

Over the last few years Cameron has competed at multiple interstate competitions.

    ·        2023 – Athletics National Championships in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth

    ·        2024 – Athletics National Championships in Adelaide and Brisbane as well as National Soccer Championships in Wollongong

    ·        2025 - Athletics National Championships in Perth and Melbourne

    ·        2026 - Athletics National Championships in Brisbane

In April 2026 Cameron competed in Brisbane at the National Athletics Championship which is where he was selected to represent Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships. As you can see there has already been a substantial personal financial commitment in order for him to attend these meets, which has ultimately allowed him to compete at the highest level, giving him his dream of representing his country.

Representing Australia in Darwin in May 2026 is another event to be solely funded by Cameron and his family, there is no subsidy from Athletics Australia for representing Australia at the Oceania Championships, all costs are paid for by the athlete.

Your support will help take that pressure away and allow Cameron to focus on what he does best — competing at his highest level and proudly representing Australia on the international stage.

Every donation, no matter the size, genuinely makes a difference and is hugely appreciated by Cameron and his family.

Thank you for being part of his journey.
