My name is Carina, and I'm an Australian trampoline gymnast with the goal of competing at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Most recently, I've been selected as the sole Australian female trampoline athlete to compete on the 2026 World Cup circuit to prepare for the Olympic qualifying cycle.

As we're gearing up for our Olympic qualifying campaign, every ounce of experience on the world stage becomes crucial. Unfortunately, majority of our World Cup events on the circuits are held in Europe, which is not the cheapest endeavour to undertake. I'm forever thankful to my family, who are my biggest supporters and cheerleaders, as well as those at the WattleNest and Titles Queensland, who continue to stand in my corner and cheer me on as I undertake the biggest journey of my career.

I am the current (2025) Senior Women's Trampoline national champion, and competed at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China. Previously, I've held the Senior Women's DMT national title, and was a part of the Australian DMT team that won the 2022 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. This was the first medal in the Women's DMT team event since 2001, and the first gold since 1988! Most recently, I finished 22nd at the Alkmaar World Cup in the Netherlands in March 2026, which was my first semi-finals qualification and a big step in my journey to where I want to be.

I'm also working part-time as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in private practice, which I adore. Supporting myself is something I've had the aim to achieve for a while, but unfortunately, working, training and competing is a juggling act to ensure I still have enough time to train but also enough income to support my livelihood and career. Competing continuously at this level is a privilege I will never take for granted, but comes with significant costs that include travel, accommodation, competition entry fees and uniform to name a few.
