My name is Carina, and I'm an Australian trampoline gymnast with the goal of competing at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Most recently, I've been selected to compete at my 5th Senior World Championships being held in Pamplona, Spain from 5th-9th November, and I'm really honoured to be celebrating this milestone.

As we're gearing up for our Olympic qualifying campaign, every ounce of experience on the world stage becomes crucial. Unfortunately, majority of our World Cup circuit as well as World Championships are held in Europe, which is not the cheapest endeavour to undertake. I'm forever thankful to my family, who are my biggest supporters and cheerleaders, as well as those at the WattleNest and Titles Queensland, who continue to stand in my corner and cheer me on as I undertake the biggest journey of my career.

Previously, I've held the Senior Women's DMT national title, and was a part of the Australian DMT team that won the 2022 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. This was the first medal in the Women's DMT team event since 2001, and the first gold since 1988! I am also the current Senior Women's Trampoline national champion, and competed at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China, earlier this year.

I'm currently finishing up my time as a student, graduating as an Exercise Physiologist at the end of the year to begin my career in clinical rehabilitation. I'm excited, as supporting myself becomes more and more realistic, however, working, training and competing is a juggling act to ensure I still have enough time to train but also enough income to support my livelihood and career. Competing continuously at this level is a privilege I will never take for granted, but comes with significant costs that include travel, accommodation, competition entry fees and uniform to name a few.
