ABOUT Chase Grant
I’ve been selected to represent Australia in the 400m and the 4x400m relay at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Wearing the green and gold is a dream I’ve worked toward for years, and now I’m reaching out for support to help make this opportunity possible.
Right now, I’m juggling training, university study, and work, and I’m seeking assistance to help cover the costs involved in getting to and competing at World U20 Athletics Championships in August 2026 at Eugen, Oregon USA. The team levy is approximately $6,000, which includes travel, accommodation, and competition expenses — and that’s before all the extras that come with being a sprinter I go through a lot of shoes… The great news is that all donations through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax deductible.
Here’s a bit about my journey so far…
I started Little Athletics when I was 5 with my older sisters. I loved to run. But like any sport, the path hasn’t been smooth. There were years in athletics I couldn’t even make a final. Then things began to shift.
In 2023, I made my first National 400m final. In 2024, I won my first National silver medal in the U18 men’s 400m in Adelaide. Later in 2024 I moved to a new coach and squad, finished high school and raced in a 200m final at the All-Schools Athletics Championship, against an incredible athlete who broke the longest standing Australia track record.
In 2025, I started Uni, gave up all my other sports, and focused solely on Athletics and won another National silver medal in the U20 400m in Perth.
With a different focus in 2026 on qualifying for Worlds, I ran qualifying times for World U20 Athletics Championships in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. And after 11 months of building, learning, and training hard with the team, I achieved my first National gold medal in the U20 men’s 400m in 2026, running a PB of 46.21s.
Any support to help me get to Eugene is appreciated.
