I’ve been passionate about archery since 2019, and from the very beginning I’ve shot using a mouth tab. It’s been my technique throughout my entire journey, including the incredible moment of becoming a World Champion in 2023.

In recent years I’ve faced new challenges, including shoulder surgery to repair a torn supraspinatus. While the injury didn’t change my shooting method, it reminded me that relying solely on a mouth tab may not be sustainable as I get older.

That’s why 2026 has been such an important year. I’ve finally had the time to continue developing a shoulder‑harness release system, a project originally started by the Australian Institute of Sport with support from Archery Australia. I’m now pushing the project forward independently, funding the research and development myself.

My hope is that others will join me in ensuring my longevity in the sport. With support, I can keep refining this technology and stay competitive all the way to the Brisbane 2032 Paralympics.
