ABOUT Rusty Hamilton

The QLD Murri Carnival for 2025 is fast approaching and the Coastal Blacks are looking to raise much needed funds for registration and players kits for the Under 16 Gurls team, a proud group of Indigenous and Torres Straight Island Girls that just love playing rugby league and love representing their culture.

The Murri Carnival takes place every year in Brisbane and brings together young indigenous and Torres straight island girls and boys for 4 days of Jnr Rugby League, Culture and continued friendship and to promote deadly choices, Indigenous health and well being and why we should so NO to drugs and alcohol.

We are looking to raise funds to help these girls get the most out of the experience, and as it is the first time that the Coastal Blacks have had an Under 16’s female side we are wanting it to be a deadly experience for them all.

The event the year is being held at the South Pine Sporting Complex in Brendale and will see 100’s of kids and adults playing the sport we all love over 10 days.

So please, give what you can, every dollar counts, and let’s give these girls, 4 days they will remember for a life time.
