Our home grounds at the Tom Nutley Fields in Nth Rockhampton, have old end-of-life field lights which are failing rapidly.

The wooden poles were erected in the late 1970's to early 1980's. The old inefficient mercury vapour lamps and ballasts are now unavailable to purchase, cannot provide lux levels to meet current Australian Standards, and an electrical inspection has deemed the control wiring unsafe and in need of complete replacement.

Our games are restricted to the heat of the day, and training at night is unsafe for our men, women and youth players, due to dark areas and low lux levels. We have to hire extra generator lights for junior competition games.

We have developed new floodlighting plans for funding submissions, to hopefully acquire a substantial amount of support for this costly project, which will Include a proposed netball training court for our associated netball teams.

This major project has been our top priority for many years, and all donations would be gratefully acknowledged.
