Hi everyone, my name is Corey Dickson and I’m a 22-year-old Australian racewalker. I’ve just been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 World University Championships in Germany — my first ever national team, and a massive milestone in my journey. Since this is a self-funded event, I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me get there.

Athletics has been a part of my life since I was 9 years old. Over the years, I’ve poured everything into this sport — early mornings, long training blocks, injuries, setbacks, and comebacks. In 2021, I was selected to represent Australia at the World Under 20 Championships and was ranked 16th in the world that year, but sadly couldn’t compete due to COVID restrictions. That setback only fuelled my hunger. Since then, I’ve raced at World Athletics Gold Label events and continued to push myself at the senior international level — all with the goal of one day earning the chance to wear the green and gold. Now, in 2025, that dream is finally coming true.

This moment means the world to me — but unfortunately, it comes at a cost. The World University Championships in Germany are entirely self-funded, with total expenses around $7,500, covering flights, accommodation, entry fees, and prep. Any support, big or small, would be a massive help in getting me there.
