Originally established in the 1940s, the Gold Coast Gift has a storied history. Originally held in the Currumbin Valley, the Gift moved to Salk Oval in the 1960s where it remained for many years before its final run in 1985.

Now, after a 40 year hiatus, the Currumbin Gift at Salk Oval is set to run again on Saturday January 3, 2026. Re-established by a committed group of locals, the Palm Beach Currumbin Sports Club and the Queensland Athletics League, the Currumbin Gift re-establishes sprint racing on the Southern Gold Coast.

In order to re-establish the event, significant funding must be generated. If you are an individual or business willing to support bringing the Gift back to Salk Oval, we would appreciate your support.
