    ABOUT Danni Jewell

    Bonner, ACT

I have played hockey for over 30 years, played many tournaments, matches and so many cold and rainy winter training sessions. It has been a lifelong ambition of mine to represent my country and now I have been given that opportunity to attend not one but two World Cups in the same year - in the O40's Australian Indoor team, and an O35s Outdoor team.

As a defender, I pride myself on strength, bravery, and commitment to the team. As a Teacher and a mum of three young boys (7,6 and 2), I also understand the importance of showing young people what it looks like to back yourself, work hard, and take opportunities when they come.

International competition involves significant personal expense, and through the Australian Sports Foundation I am raising funds to assist with travel, accommodation, and competition costs associated with representing Australia. I am grateful for any support you are able to offer. Your contribution helps make it possible for me to compete at the highest level of Masters Sport while representing Australia, our community and my family with pride.
