SUPPORT THE AUSTRALIA 2027 WINTER DEAFLYMPICS CAMPAIGN

The 2027 Winter Deaflympics will mark Dean Hecker’s fifth Deaflympics and an incredible comeback to international Deaf sport. After many years away from international competition while focusing on his career and raising a family, Dean has returned to Alpine Snowboard Racing with a clear goal: to wear the green and gold once again, compete against the world’s best Deaf snowboard athletes and chase a Deaflympics medal for Australia.

This comeback is also about raising awareness of Deaf winter sports in Australia and inspiring the next generation of Deaf athletes. Dean has been selected by Deaf Sports Australia to represent Australia at the 2027 Winter Deaflympics. With no funding available to financially support his campaign, Dean is responsible for raising the funds needed for training, coaching, travel, accommodation, competition expenses and insurance.

There are two ways you can support Dean’s journey: make a tax-deductible donation or become a campaign sponsor.

MAKE A DONATION

Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Individuals, families, businesses and community groups can support Dean’s campaign through a tax-deductible donation via the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF).

Whether it’s $20, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more, every donation helps Dean train, prepare and give himself the best opportunity to compete for a medal in Austria.

BECOME A CAMPAIGN SPONSOR

Dean is also seeking businesses and organisations interested in supporting the Australia 2027 Winter Deaflympics Campaign. Sponsorship can include financial support, products, equipment, travel, accommodation or other services. Sponsors will receive recognition and exposure throughout Dean’s journey, with packages available to suit different levels of support.

Interested in becoming a sponsor? Contact Deaf Sports Australia or Dean directly to discuss the campaign and find a sponsorship option that suits your business or organisation.

Every donation and sponsorship makes a meaningful difference in helping Dean prepare, compete and proudly represent Australia at the 2027 Winter Deaflympics. Together, we can raise the profile of Deaf winter sports in Australia, inspire future Deaf athletes and help Australia compete proudly on the world stage.

THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN DEAN'S COMEBACK JOURNEY AND FOR CONSIDERING BEING PART OF THE AUSTRALIA 2027 WINTER DEAFLYMPICS CAMPAIGN.
