DBYC has its roots in a group of locals who began getting together on the beach to sail dinghies and enjoy the fraternity of like-minded folks back in the 1990’s and indeed several of the original core group who quite literally built the club with their own hands, money and initiative are still involved today. Their choice of site to build a clubhouse was, and remains, a brilliant one and today DBYC’s facilities and amenity are the envy of many. We run a simple bar for the benefit of members and their guests and our balcony is the perfect place to enjoy the Quindalup panorama. We are very fortunate to have such a space, and grounds, for sailing and socialising. 

We are a small club run entirely by volunteers - some locals, some from Perth and beyond - but all with an interest in the region, sailing and the community down here on Geographe Bay. Indeed many of our volunteers are not sailors at all, but rather folks who simply like being involved in a community organisation that fosters sporting and social activities and nurtures youngsters interested in the wonderful world of sailing. 

We are a community within a community.
