ABOUT Elijah Samy
“Backing Elijah Samy – QLD’s Rising Football Striker”
My name is Elijah Samy, I’m 12 years old and I’ve recently been selected to represent Queensland School Football at the National Championships in Ballarat this September.
Football has always been my passion and my dream is to one day play for the Emerging Socceroos, the Australian National Football Team, and to pursue a professional football career. Every opportunity to grow and challenge myself brings me one step closer to that goal.
I currently play club football for Lions FC Under 12 Academy and am part of the Corinda Futsal Excellence Program (FEX). I’ve been a key player in the Junior Boys SPL team, where I play as a striker. Earlier this year, I proudly represented Met West at the Queensland State School Championships, where I finished as top goal scorer of the tournament. Off the back of this, I was selected in the Queensland School Team to travel to Ballarat for the Australian School Sport 12 Years Championships.
Travelling to Ballarat involves significant costs including flights, accommodation, uniforms, team levies and transport. To help ease the financial pressure on my family, I’m seeking the support of family, friends, and the community through this Australian Sports Foundation fundraising page.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a big difference in helping me get to Ballarat and proudly represent Queensland. All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible through the ASF.
Thank you for supporting me in chasing my football dreams – I can’t wait to wear the maroon jersey and represent my state with pride!
