    ABOUT Ellen Martini

Hi, my name is Ellen Martini. I am a recurve archer from South Queensland. I have been shooting for 4 years and in that time I have had the honour of being selected to represent Australia twice, at the World Archery Youth Championships and the Trans Tasman Challenge in 2025.

I got into archery at the age of 11, but the first time I shot was a few years before that. I shot a 3D course for fun in the mountains of Austria and was immediately hooked. It took a while before we were able to find a club to shoot at, due to how small the sport is, but when I was able to start shooting, my enjoyment only increased. At first I was weary about competing, but when I finally did shoot my first competition, I realised how much I love competing.

In 2026 I am the youngest member on the Australian National team. This year I am aiming to compete at the Youth Olympic Games as well as the World Archery Field Championships.
