ABOUT Emma Harvey
I’m Emma Harvey, a proud NT-based angler and WRFL SIREN, and I’m raising funds to do the Territory proud in two rounds of the 2025 Bass Electric Tour in Queensland as part of Project 5050.
Project 5050 is an initiative of the Women’s Recreational Fishing League (WRFL) that’s breaking down barriers for women in competitive fishing. At the heart of this initiative is “5050,” a fully electric, tournament-ready fishing boat — giving women the chance to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting, without the cost or complexity that often limits participation.
This June and August, I’ll compete at Somerset Dam and Lake Moogerah — showcasing not only my passion for the sport, but also what’s possible when women are given the tools and opportunity to lead in this space. Each round costs around $1,500 to attend, including travel from Darwin, accommodation, and gear.
I’m seeking support to help cover these costs — and in return, I’ll proudly represent my sponsors and community on a national stage. Your support helps me:
✅ Represent the NT with pride and purpose
✅ Build visibility for women in fishing
✅ Share the journey through stories, media, and content
✅ Inspire more women and families to get involved in the sport we all love
Every donation counts — and I’m so grateful for your support as I chase this exciting opportunity and help move the needle on gender parity in fishing.
