I love to compete! I love the team side of football, I am a winger due to my speed but I also play other positions such as play maker and link (i love looking for that intercept). I am age champion both track and field at school and districts level. I begin selecting which events i focus my energy into when competing regional level and above as i take my training seriously and wish to compete at higher levels to the best of my ability. At states in 2025 I was the 10th fastest runner for my age in Queensland on the day, lessons were learnt as i worked with new equipment i wasn't used to. It is for that reason I would like help to purchase the correct items i need to enable better results that i am capable of achieving. I train 3 days a week with a nationals level coach, i play in my local touch football team in the U14's division and I am currently in the district level touch team with regional selections being made this month. Sports has been a real focus of mine and I love the positive attention it creates, i am often asked by my pears to join their team on rugby gala days and i am always being asked to play for rugby/AFL teams both locally and down the coast. Our hopes in receiving funding is that I will be able to continue being able to do the sports I love. I currently use blocks which are borrowed from my school, however they are the wrong shape and numbering sequence come state level, so i would love to be able to purchase a set for myself and also fund some of the gear required like headgear for tackle sport, new cleats as I've outgrown my current ones and my spikes for sprinting are worn thin and deteriorating. Due to where we live, we often have to drive 1.5-2 hrs each way to training days and events which given current fuel prices will limit my ability to compete and attend events. Queensland is a large state and some of these events require extensive hours in the car or plane rides - townsville was our last major trip at 15 hrs away. Any help to help my family support my dreams is greatly appreciated.
