ABOUT Emma Tucker
Hi, I’m Emma — an age group triathlete who once weighed 148kg and now spends weekends in Lycra for fun. I’ve lost over 80kg, gained a whole new outlook (and quad definition), and somehow qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawai’i.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to compete on triathlon’s world stage — but it comes with a big price tag. Between flights, logistics, race entry, and gear, getting to Kona is as much a financial endurance event as it is a physical one.
I’m fundraising through the Australian Sports Foundation to help cover the costs of this adventure. Donations over $2 are tax-deductible and will directly support my trip to the start line in Hawai’i.
I’m sharing the full story — training, chaos, laughs, and all — because this isn’t just about race day. It’s about showing that with enough grit (and a little delusion), anything really is possible.
Thanks for cheering me on — and for helping make Kona happen. 🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️
