Supporting Eoghan's National Hockey Journey

This October, Eoghan will travel to Newcastle to represent the ACT at the School Sport Australia 12 Years & Under National Hockey Championships.

Eoghan is one of the senior members of the ACT team and was the team's leading goal scorer in 2025. He is passionate about developing both his hockey and leadership skills, with the goal of one day captaining his team and ultimately pursuing his dream of becoming an Olympian.

While hockey is his favourite sport, Eoghan is a dedicated all-round athlete. He has proudly represented his school in futsal, athletics, cross country, cricket, and netball. He is also a talented distance runner, completing the 2025 Sydney Mini Marathon 5km in an impressive time of 19:32, placing him among the top 75 finishers.

Eoghan loves hockey for its fast-paced and dynamic nature, along with the friendships he has built through the sport. Whether it's drag flicks, overhead passes, or using his favourite 3D skills to beat defenders, he approaches every game with enthusiasm, determination, and a smile.

His sporting journey continues beyond this year, with Eoghan also selected to represent the Australian Wanderers in Fiji this December, where he will compete against Fijian teams and further develop his hockey skills on an international stage.

Representing the ACT at a national championship is an exciting opportunity and a reward for years of hard work and dedication. However, the costs of travel, accommodation, uniforms, and equipment quickly add up.

Any contribution, big or small, will help Eoghan proudly represent the ACT, his school, and our community on the national stage. Thank you for supporting him as he takes this important step in his hockey journey.
