    ABOUT Ethan McAteer

    Smithfield, NSW

Ethan McAteer has been playing baseball since he was just five years old, and from the very beginning, his love for the game has continued to grow. Through baseball, Ethan has developed a strong passion for sport and a genuine drive to improve himself both physically and mentally.

Like any athlete, Ethan has faced setbacks along the way, but what sets him apart is his resilience. He has always taken on feedback, learned from his experiences, and returned stronger each time. His determination and work ethic over the years have helped shape him into the player he is today.

Over the past two years, Ethan’s dedication has truly shone. Known for his strength as a pitcher, this has become one of his standout qualities on the field and played a key role in his recent success. Ethan was selected into a talented sports program for baseball, went on to represent Greater Western Baseball, and was recently recognised as Player of the Series in the Junior League for the GWBA, where his pitching strength was a major contributor to this achievement.

Ethan has now been given an incredible opportunity to represent not only himself, but also his club, the Holroyd Giants, and Australia as part of the Under 14 Aussie Drop Bears team at the Babe Ruth Tournament in Texas this August.

This international tournament will give Ethan valuable exposure, allowing him to compete against some of the top young baseball athletes from other countries. It is an opportunity for him to learn, grow, and further develop his skills and understanding of the game on a global stage.

As this opportunity has come together within a short timeframe, we are seeking support to help ease the financial pressure on Ethan’s family. Funds raised will go towards tournament fees and travel expenses to help make this experience possible.

Ethan remains humble, kind, and incredibly grateful for the support he has received throughout his journey so far, and he sincerely thanks everyone who helps him take this next exciting step toward achieving his dream of playing baseball overseas.
