For the second time in 2026, Evangelique (affectionately known as E) has been selected to represent an Australian side internationally for Rugby Union. 

E has been successful in gaining competitive selection for the Pacific Nomads U16 Rugby Sevens Squad, at just fourteen. 

The Australian squad will compete in the famous RARO 7s rugby tournament against teams from New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and more at the Rarotonga National Stadium. During a rugby tour of the Cook Islands in November.

Competing in a World Cup and at the Olympics for Sevens remains E’s wholehearted, long term personal goal. Those who know her personally, know just how far above and beyond E goes to keep this dream burning. 

And so at a time when keeping girls involved in sports is harder than ever. This particular Rugby selection, especially as one of the younger players chosen, is extra special. 

Before all of this takes place. E will also compete at the NSW All Schools Touch Football State Champs in Sydney. The Secondary Schools Flag Football Gala in Bowral. The National Youth Touch Championship for the Canberra Raiders in Coffs Harbour, the Brumbies Rugby 7s Championship in Canberra and potentially the Pasifika Cup for Rugby in Sydney. 

So now we bake and fundraise our hearts out to raise the funds to get her there (and everywhere in between) once again. 🏃🏽‍♀️🧁🏈🙏🏼
