As part of the 2020-2025 Strategic plan there was an emphasis on growth of the club membership as well as facility upgrade and future planning to create a Master Plan. With this focus over the past 4 years the committee have been working towards a Master Plan to improve the facilities and functionality of our club. Due to this forward planning and strategic plan in 2023 we were successful in our application to the Brisbane city council’s ‘Better Suburbs Grant’ for consultancy works to design the overall Master Plan. This was stage one in being prepared to action work when we have enough funds to proceed with the works. This Better Suburbs Grant work has allowed us to fully realise what was achievable and what was required to bring it all to fruition.

At the end of the 2024 season and prior to the federal election Tim Mander made an election promise of $750,000 (plus GST) to put towards clubhouse and facility refurbishment works. With Tim Mander being successful in his election campaign we are now the recipients of this federal funding and can now put the first stages of the Master Plan into construction.

Our Master Plan works are estimated to cost about $4.5 million and as such we have divided the works up into stages.

• Stage 1 – Preparation for the Stage 2 - Approximate value: $5,000
  • In preparation for Stage 2 works some relocation, demolition and removal of structures is required.
• Stage 2 – Training Area and Terraced Seating - Approximate value: $1,030,000
  • Over the past several years our club has seen an increase in player numbers and as a result we are in need of more training and spectator space as well as safer access to the field. The construction of the Training Area and Terraced Seating will achieve this.
• Stage 3 – Amenity upgrade; Renovated Changerooms, New Toilet & Shower Amenities, New BBQ & Coffee Kiosk, New Storage Shed & Field Maintenance Shed - Approximate value: $941,000
  • To enable to the club to be more inclusive, accessible and available to the wider community the provision of more amenities and new and renovated assets including accessible facilities is apparent.
• Stage 4 – New Fly over roof, Outdoor Area Flooring and Entry Forecourt - Approximate value: $875,000
  • With the amenities and training & playing areas upgraded the heart of our facilities will be given a facelift enabling EPJRUC the opportunity to provide a neat and tidy first impression and welcoming space that showcases the Roosters.
• Stage 5 – Renovated and upgraded Carpark with Pedestrian access to the club - Approximate value: $460,000
  • The last piece of the Master Plan is to reconfigure the carpark in conjunction with Hillbrook High School. The reconfiguration of the carpark will make better use of this area removing redundant space from the middle of the carpark to allow for safe pedestrian walkways to be created around the carpark.
