FELIX HAMILTON — Dragon Boat & Outrigger Canoe

I have spent years in sports since little, and now building myself into an elite dragon boat and outrigger canoe athlete and coach, not just chasing my own results on the water, but helping the athletes coming up behind me.

Right now my focus is on staying at the level this sport demands: consistent international-standard training, racing at regattas and championships that keep me qualified and competitive, and continuing to coach the next group of paddlers coming through. I have been steadily coaching at club, NSW State team level through the years, paddling at all levels, and now coaching the Australian Juniors 18U squad.

None of that happens without real cost. The sport is self-funded, and each season it adds up. Elite competition means travel to interstate and international regattas, championships and world cups, coaching equipment, and that's before the training hours themselves. I also have to take additional personal leave from work in order to travel for championship.

Any donation, made tax-deductible through the Australian Sports Foundation, goes straight toward keeping me on the water and in this sport.
