Finnlay Caruana
Finn is from Busselton, South West WA.
Finnlay has been paddling kayaks for 5 years, having come from Surf Life Saving roots and developing a passion for Surf ski paddling, ocean paddling and then applying his skills across to flat water kayaking.
Finn has been dedicated to developing in this sport, over the years training in small groups and on his own at times up to 7 sessions a week. Finn has travelled to Perth to train with K2 partners in Perth and to access specialist coaching and hone his craft and skills.
Last year Finn made his first Australian team and competed in Canberra, at the Asia Pacific Championships achieving success and again at this year’s State and National competitions, medalling in numerous races.
We are fund-raising for Finnlay to travel to Hungary to represent Australia in the Marathon world titles in the K2 U19 event with his Partner Lachie. A 26km paddle against the best u18s in the world.
This will be his first international trip to represent Australia - Travelling with K2 partner Lachlan.
